Layers of Arpa DiagramThe INTEGRALE laminate is made up of a seriaes of kraft paper layers impregnated with a special phenolic resin with external decorative paper sheets impregnated in melaminic resin following a specific program of decorations and sizes.

The basic parts are then impregnated in thermosetting resins, appropriately treated, that give the product its fundamental physical-mechanical features. It subsequently undergoes a combined action of pressure (80 kg/cm²) under heat (150° C), in hydraulic presses that provokes an irreversible chemical-physical transformation caused by the polycondensation of the resins used.

FIRA Picture
  • It has good resistance to impacts and mechanical stresses.
  • It has calculable expansion and contraction coefficients.
  • It is not toxic: it does not contain asbestos or chlorine, it is well within the European norms for free formaldyde emissions (FIRA Institute Certification).
  • It is anti-static, self extinguishing, fire-proof class 1 (upon request).
  • Highly resilient and resistant to impacts.
  • It does not rot, freeze, or cultivate fungi, mildews, or spores.
  • It is resistant to moisture and steam.
  • It is decorated on both sides, in a wide range of patterns with a finish that is highly resistant to abrasions and scratches.
  • Easy to handle: it can be sawn, drilled, milled, shaped, threaded; operations can
be carried out directly on site.
  • It is self-supporting 6 mm, therefore easy and quick to install.
  • It is economical consiering its technical feature requirements and durability.
  • Enables the designer to make an analysis of the cost breakdown, and installation time without margin of error
  • It is quick and simple to install using aluminum profiles, blind screws or through screws with specific structural silicone glues to fasten it to the frame.

FORMALDYDE CONTENTFormaldyde Content
Regarding the hygiene regulations concerning materials produced to have contact with foodstuffs (D.M. 4/4/85 - G.U. N° 120 EEC 123, 11/05/1983) it is declared that Arpa's HPL conforms to the maximum values indicated in Annex IV, Section 2, Paragraph 1; it does not leave free formaldyde in quantities exceeding 0,5 mg/dm², which is 3 ppm, with respect to the real or calculated capacity of the said object.

CollaspeCleaning & Maintenance(click to view details)

The Integrale panels have no special maintenance requirements.

The following hints may be useful:
  1. Slightly dirty panels can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth.
  2. Obstinate dirt can be removed with warm water and soap or normal detergent that does not contain abrasive or corrosive agents.
  3. Persistant stains such as paint, adhesive, ink, per marks, lipstick and so on can usually be removed with organic solvents in a well ventilated environment taking the required precautions (if using alcohol, trichloroethylene, nitre solvents, benzene/benzine solutions, etc...). For adhesive residue or presistant paint stains, contact the product supplier for the most suitable solvent. Condensate resin residue(urea, melamine, phenol adhesives), reaction adhesives(epoxy, adhesives such as unsaturated polyester, polyurethane etc...) cannot be removed once they have hardened. After using solvents, halation may occur that can be removed using normal ammonia based detergents (Blue Glasses etc...). Some solvents are flammable or in large doses, harmful, therefore always work with the windows open.
  4. Paraffin or wax residue should first be scraped off, taking care not to scratch the surface.
Further residue can be removed with a hot iron passing over a piece of absorbent paper.
Polishes with a wax or silicone base should not be used for the Integrale (H.P.L.) panel surfaces.

All the technical information given, even verbally, is the result of extensive research and accurate control tests, and it corresponds to our current knowledge and experience in this field. The information is not to be considered as binding, and therefore cannot be a cause for disputes with claims for damages. Arpa Industriale S.p.A. does not supervise the laying of "Integrale" laminated and therefore cannot in any way be held responsible. Arpa will only consider itself responsible for the quantity of "Integrale" used, excluding compensation for other materials used, labour, damage to building structures, tranport etc...

Basic Uses: ABET LAMINATI Horizontal Postforming Grade 0.9 mm is manufactured for interior horizontal and vertical surfaces. Typical horizontal applications include work surfaces on counters, table tops, residential and commercial furniture, case goods, store fixtures, and work stations. Vertical applications include wall panels, cabinet walls, doors, toilet partitions, elevator cab interiors, front panels of workstations in hospitals, restaurants, retail stores, and airports. This grade also has the capability of postforming to achieve radius edges for counters, desktops, and store fixtures.

Metals are never recommended for horizontal surfaces where wear and traffic are an issue. In general, darker laminates show scratches more readily than lighter colors. Consider this when choosing a surface that experiences traffic.
